The story behind the number

Why 21?

A name built around family, collecting, and the community that brings us together.

WHY “21”?

21 Trading is named after my daughter.

She was born with Trisomy 21, also known as Down syndrome, and when I started thinking about what I wanted to call this whole thing, the answer became pretty simple.

21.

I wanted to build something in honor of my daughter—something that could grow alongside her and hopefully make a positive impact on the community around us.

That's where 21 Trading Co. came from.

EVERY COLLECTION
STARTS SOMEWHERE.

I still remember opening one of my first packs of Pokémon cards with my dad back in 2000.

I pulled a Squirtle and a Bulbasaur, and at the time, I thought I had just opened the greatest cards in the world.

I didn't care what they were worth. They were mine, and I loved them.

That's one of the things I love most about this hobby. Even today, I get to watch people walk up to my booth and finally find a card they've been searching for. Sometimes it's an expensive grail. Sometimes it's a $5 card they've wanted since they were a kid.

The feeling is the same.

21 Trading exists because I believe every kid deserves the opportunity to collect something they love and experience moments like those.

Every collection we buy has a story.

Every card we sell might be the beginning of another one.

Every collection starts somewhere.

BUILT AROUND
THE COMMUNITY.

At the end of the day, I'm a collector too.

I love the cards. I love the shows. I love making deals. I love opening packs. And I love meeting people who are just as excited about this hobby as I am.

21 Trading gives me an opportunity to take something I genuinely enjoy and use it to contribute to the community around it.

Whether that's helping someone find a card they've been chasing, buying a collection they've spent years building, giving a kid their first pack, or simply having a conversation across the table at a show—that's what I want 21 Trading to be about.

Cards bring us to the table. The people around it are what make the hobby worth it.
